Way Back Into Love

Jamie is a friend everyone loves to have. He is kind, sweet and everything good. Sometimes he can be an ass; but only if you deserve it. Always a hopeless romantic, Jamie would make a great boyfriend and a fantastic husband <adv>.

Joey is the pretty one who always speaks her mind, regardless of how preposterous she sounds. She has a great sense of adventure and is almost up to try anything new. She broke the hearts of many when she got engaged recently.

Me... I am just awesome. As you can tell, we are worlds apart and nothing alike.

Working in Capital, we found ourselves hanging out, going away on vacation and even managed a brief period of fun partying. Our weird quirks brought us together, but what really kept us together now is our love of music. I have since left Capital and we don't meet up as much as we used to. Despite that we still hang out together occasionally to catchup and jam. And we're still trying very hard not to butcher Justin Bieber's songs. I guess music does bring people together.

This is Joey and Jamie putting up an special item during our wedding dinner. Enjoy.

Btw Joey is the gal, and Jamie is the dude. In case you are wondering.

Of Hipstamatic and the Gardens

The Gardens by the Bay opened beginning of the year. We have been itching to pay a visit but alas got caught up in the business of wedding preparation and work.

So we finally found time on a Friday evening to head down and check out what the hype is all about. It was a cool breezy evening, so we had a nice stroll from the office. The Gardens was impressive to say the least. Weirdly enough, it was the architectures of the Gardens that were the highlights rather than the wide array of flora.

This is us playing with the Hipstamatic app with the iPhone 4. Ah... loving the life of newlyweds.

Dear Buggy

I’m sorry to break it to you like this, but it’s time to say goodbye. I knew the time would come, just didn’t think it would be this soon. I just want to say that you’ve been a great companion and friend. You never failed to brighten up my day with your smile, and you make it that much easier to go to work. Everyone knows who you are, and when you are not seen for days, people ask about you.

I will never forget all the fond memories that we’ve had. One that stood out was when I was feeling really ill one day and had to go to the clinic. You were sick as well, but managed to drag yourself all the way there before allowing your battery to completely drain out. It was such a heroic act and I will be forever grateful for that. Thank you so much also for welcoming Calvin into our lives with open arm(chair)s.

But there is a time for everything; and it’s now time to say goodbye. Please don’t be upset. I hope you will find someone who will love you just as much, if not more than I do. And if we see each other again on the roads, don’t  be a stranger. These 3 years have been a blast. I will not forget you, Buggy.

Love,
PS

P/S - I swear I am not cheating on you!

Bye Buggy :(

My Glass Slippers

As the stock market swings between gains and losses, so did my mind when it comes to choosing the perfect pair of heels. The likes of Jimmy Choo and Louboutin definitely crossed my mind but with the cost of our wedding mounting, I just couldn’t bring myself to splurge on an extravagant pair of bridal shoes. I guess I was being cheap, and hey it’s not like the heels are going to be visible at all during the wedding dinner right? And so I talked myself into being practical rather than spendthrift. And here it is - just a humble pair of Charles and Keith.

It's a lovely pair of knitted shoes, which matches my dress.

As my evening dress was not too elaborate, I matched it with a pair of Anna Nucci heels with blings. The heels are 6 inches high, and are surprisingly comfortable. And I was right, they were not visible at all during the entire dinner.

No matter, I can definitely reuse them for future dinners :)
